Surrounded by friends and supporters at a fundraiser for Gary Aiken, running for Mason District Supervisor, the Honorable George Allen declared that Gary’s palm card says it all. Gov. Allen emphasized, “You’ve got to have a leader who listens to the people!” Gary’s palm card states just that: “Mason deserves a LEADER who will LISTEN.” And that is exactly what Gary has been doing during his campaign…listening. Whether it is door knocking, talking to the shoppers at Farmers Market, meeting neighbors at meet-and-greets, attending forums and other community events, Gary has been LISTENING. And what has he been hearing? Folks have been telling him about things that have not been getting done by his opponent’s self-proclaimed identity as a “workhorse not a showhorse!” More about that proclamation later!
Gov. Allen coached that this race for Mason District Supervisor is absolutely winnable. Gary’s “playbook” to win is on target because, he said, “Gary is focused on local issues, and that is what people care about, whether they are Republican, Democrat, Independent, or whatever. Local issues are what matter to the people because these are the things that impact their quality of life!” Gov. Allen counseled Gary, “You’ve got to get out there and meet the people, let them see you, let them know who you are, and what you stand for.” Gary is taking that wise counsel to heart because he responded, “ I am shaking every hand, knocking every door, talking individually with every person, and in general, I am showing up everywhere!” Gary is taking this election very seriously, and plans to win.
Standing with Gary and circled by friends, Gov. Allen, agreed with his supporters: Gary’s In It to Win It! Go to www.garyaiken.org, get on the team to win with Gary Aiken on November 5!
