Gary Aiken, candidate for Mason District Supervisor and Penny Gross, incumbent Mason District Supervisor, sat side by side at the Candidates’ Forum, sponsored by the Annandale Chapter of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees (NARFE), at the Mason District Governmental Center, on September 4th.
Stark contrasts were obvious in positions. Twenty-four years of continual marking time for the sake of continuity under the incumbent versus opportunity for forward-leaning into the future with the challenger candidate. Gary Aiken offers a vision of possibilities, a new and needed skills set, with financial management and oversight to set right priorities, to balance the budget with the goal of lower taxes, issues that impact property values and the environment, safety and security in all neighborhoods, and energy to “get things done!”
Mason District is an opportunity just waiting to be developed. We have an opportunity for change on November 5. Bring that change by voting Gary Aiken for Mason District Supervisor. Go to www.garyaiken.org to volunteer, donate, be informed and get involved!
