“Who are you?” the shoppers ask.
“ I’m Gary Aiken, I’m running for Mason District Supervisor. I want your vote November 5th.”
“What are you going to do that’s different from Penny Gross?” a voter asks. Gary responds, “First of all, I will listen to the concerns of Mason District residents. I will ensure budget priorities are right for Mason—property taxes keep going up and still nothing is getting done; I will attend to infrastructure issues—we have safety and security issues in our neighborhoods; I will spur economic development–we have too many vacant buildings, we have areas of opportunity for business and real estate development, we have street maintenance problems not being addressed.”
Some voters say, “I’m not going to vote for anyone who is a Republican.” Gary emphasizes, “I’m focused on local Mason District issues.
These issues cross political lines and impact everyone in our district. I’m putting Mason District first!” “Can I sign you up to help?” he asks. “Yup, sign me up…” they say.
How about you? What are your concerns. Come and meet Gary on Thursdays at Mason Farmers Market, 6621 Columbia Pike, Annandale, then go to www.garyaiken.com to join the team for change in Mason District.
