GARY AIKEN MEETS LABOR

GARY AIKEN MEETS NoVA LABOR

Gary Aiken listens to the concerns of the Northern Virginia Labor Federation’s Local Government Committee.  Their shared commitment to building and maintaining a strong, vibrant middle class laid the foundation to discussing the best way forward for Mason District and Fairfax County.

Gary said, “I recognize trade unions play an important role in creating our middle class.”  The discussion included fair wages, low bid contracts that end up costing taxpayers more in the long run, defined benefit vs defined contribution retirement planning, and ameliorating wage and retirement disparities for bus drivers.  Gary emphasized that change is needed in many areas to ensure fair and equitable treatment of our workers, declaring, “I want to be a part of that change!  We have huge opportunities for responsible growth in Mason District and trade unions will be an important part of accomplishing the goal of revitalizing Mason District.”  It’s time for a change…a NEW direction for Mason and Fairfax.  To make that happen, vote for change on November 5, 2019.  Vote Gary Aiken, for Mason District Supervisor.
