Gary Aiken, candidate for Mason District Supervisor to the Fairfax County Board of Supervisor was honored to provide his answers on a variety of topics to the NAACP. Gary Aiken will join the NAACP in their Candidate Forum on April 18 at 7:00pm at Sherwood Regional Library. The questionnaire covered improving our schools, controlling the county budget, safety and security for all citizens, and other important questions.
Gary Aiken is a strong believer in civil rights and civil responsibilities. He also is a champion for restoring economic growth in Mason District. This revitalization of areas like Seven Corners, Annandale, and Bailey’s Crossroads will lift all boats. The full responses to the questionnaire can be found here:
Bias crimes and hate crimes were not mentioned in the questionnaire. Gary Aiken says, “I got into this race for Supervisor, in part, because the JCC near my home was attacked and the church next door was attacked because they had a black pastor. I will do everything in my power as Supervisor to protect minority communities be they racial, religious or otherwise. Mason District’s diversity is its strength. Our minority and immigrant communities must know their government prioritizes their safety and security.”
